So - what's the result if I ignore temp compensation and just let my 7002 do it's thing? :h
At 7 amps, I'd only begin to worry if the battery was in 95F or hotter ambient temperatures.
And I still believe even the 30% charge rate limited AGMS enjoy charge rates approaching this 'limit'. Not sure 7 amps will be enough even if you have all the time in the world to recharge.
It is not as if one venting is going to instantly kill the AGM battery. Like whoops, popped the vents, need a new battery, now.
Before I bypassed my vehicles voltage regulator it would allow 14.9v to my AGM, when the battery was already full and hot from being exposed to engine heat in addition to also getting huge amperages when depleted at 14.9v by a fast spinning well wired alternator.
It still performs admirably despite the maximum absorption voltage for battery temperature being well exceeded and also sometimes while accepting huge amps too.
Less than Ideal does not mean instant death.
