Amps accepted at absorption voltage should be the goal. Get it down to at least 1 amp at 14.7v.
If 2 amps are not bringing this thing right back upto 14.7v, it ain't close to full.
This is a job for an adjustable voltage converter/power supply.
This run started in the low 13s at 2.0 amps, now at 1.8 amps and 13.93v. (EDIT later on still running at 1.8a and now 14.37v) Same 2 amp run last night got it to 14.7.
I would use the adjustable now that there is no danger of high amps, but then I would have no ammeter like the Vector's read-out. I would have to put the batt out in the 5er and use the Trimetric.
No worries, in the morning it will be sitting there saying Ful and battery voltage will be around 12.9 resting. Then I can run another kettle and toaster test during the day.
