I just don't understand how all the hype is how AGMs can accept high amps because of their low R compared with Flooded, but then there is this 30% restriction slapped on this one.
Is mine different from the others and I bought the wrong kind of AGM?
Or is the 30% restriction bogus like Mex might be saying? (Not sure he is saying that exactly either. )
Just testing to "see what happens" means going over the spec. I don't want to risk anything when there is no emergency. I could test that by putting the AGM in the 5er and use the Trimetric ammeter with an adjustable voltage converter, but why should I take the risk (if there is one) ?
If there is a good reason not to go over the spec, I can work around that and stay within spec. But it would be great if I could leave the 55 amper in place set at 13.7 (25C) and not have to swap things around so much depending on what the scenario is for each trip. I could even steal the 7355 from the 5er and rig it up in the TC and keep the adjustable 55 in the 5er. Whatever, I just want to know what my options are, then I can pick and choose :)
