I believe we could pencil in an analysis on the back of an envelope in a few minutes.
The first thing the wet side has to agree to is the value of the maintenance labor difference between wet and AGM. You cannot disregard the fact that there is more to learn and more detailed procedures with wets.
Let's start with recent a post:
"My last pair of 8D AGMs figured out at $8.48/month and lasted 11 years. " I guess this is the purchase cost/11yrs.
Assume that an equivalent wet is half that cost, or $4.24/mo.
Pick an hourly value for maintenance labor. How many minutes labor/mo would erase the $4.24 advantage of the wet?
