what do you mean by LOAD ? how much load ? A/C is a No No !
TV , PC, lights etc... is usually No problem, i do that
MW, A/C, electric heater, Kuerig etc.. Bad Idea
when you switch to genny, you get the switch over to charging, so you add the converter section charge surge to what ever loads are already running
Lol, no, not running the AC on transfer to generator. My concern with an integrated unit (inverter/charger/switch) is that it would try to kick the charger in while the generator is still spooling up... It looks like the transfer switch is 70 amp. Having 2 AC inputs is not a necessity, agreed, but might be nice in fail over situations where we're on shore power and lose electricity, the inverter could auto start the generator to keep AC going if needed.
lets See .. plugin to shore power, then get out the portable generator and plug that in also, need another shore cord ? some kind of connection ! plus the auto start ?
the Champion has a time delay on power turn on
and the inverter has too see power for 15 seconds, BEFORE it will switch from inverter mode to incoming 120vac and charging
so the champ has been running for at about 30 seconds before inverter load and charge load , are connected to the generator
i prefer charging for a few minutes, before adding other loads
like the Tassmino ? that will choke a 2000w inverter or genny or what ever, even with a 3000w generator
