Since I never go south of the 42nd parallel north nor know anyone who does, does the Hughes autoformer provide similar protections?
(From the little I have been able to read re. the Mexico versions, for 50amp RV's they are single leg only, and would need one for each leg. If that is true then the savings starts to diminish.)
Also, if going with the Hughes, is there any downside or difficulty (other than the involved mechanics) of having one hardwired into the system?
