Air Pipes to Catalytic Converter Question-Photo added

Update--question reposted here on 1 Jan--

For the 1991 E350 rig in the sig.

Question is which of the two air intakes to the catalytic converter comes from which two pipes up by the engine?

At the catalytic converter, there are two intakes:
A. on top in the middle, a blue hose onto a metal pipe then going forward to under the dog house passenger side
B. at the front of the converter, a metal pipe going forward to under the dog house passenger side.

These two metal pipes cross over each other on the way forward. They both seem to have fittings on the front ends for rubber hoses that would connect up to the two metal pipes coming down

Now up front under the dog house, passenger side there are two metal pipes strapped together with metal spacers (whatever called)that go down and (perhaps?) join up with the two metal pipes from the catalytic converter.
A. one goes up and gets a fatter rubber hose that curves over to the left and down into something in the middle (air pump?)
B. one goes straight forward lower down along above the passenger side engine top and into something or other farther forward.

I want to know which of these metal pipes up by the engine connect to which pipes that go into the catalytic converter

(There might be a part of some kind between these two sets of pipes, don't know)

Thanks.

  • That pic should be Top = Front of vehicle, Right silver lining = inside of dogbox pulled back a little.

I'm pretty sure our pipes from the catalytic converter were solid metal that I had to cut with a sawsall in order to remove it when it was clogged.

I am not near that camper right now and likely can't get into take pics for some time.

Hopefully someone can offer some more info?
  • Got a better look--photo added. The question is now about the pipe that comes from the top of the part in the red circle and goes down beside the other pipe, with the two pipes joined by a metal spacer farther down to where each looks like it takes a rubber hose.

Does it go to the middle top of the catalytic converter or to the front end? The other pipe would then go to the other pipe.

The two pipes from the catalytic converter come forward to near those two other pipe ends. the two metal pipes coming forward also are joined along the way by metal spacers. They have bulb things on their ends that in turn, take rubber hoses.

One pipe from (the front) of the cat converter has the bulb thing as E8TE-9A487-AA which is "secondary air pump check valve" The other pipe has a similar/same bulb thing but can't read the number on it. I am wondering if both would be the same if only one of those pipes receives from the secondary air pump. Would that indicate which is which?
