I've not read anything about the electrostatic filters. If I did get a purifier it would definitely be in the living room, we don't smoke in any other area of the camper. So, it would be really close by. I suppose it's worth a shot. I just see other models that are $300+ that I thought may work, but I don't want to just throw money away. I mean, the ones that I have looked at I've made sure that they've all mentioned tobacco smoke smell removal. I see a lot of high marks for the models, however most of them aren't mentioning anything pertaining to cigarette smoke.
