I agree with this statement if it is in a OTR truck with air from the fan going over it. In my DP with a side radiator I have no idea how much cooling air reaches the alternator compared to the hot air off the exhaust manifold and turbo. I did consider running a 4" dryer vent tube to it but where to mount to get the cooling air and no water??? I decided running the generator was the easiest solution.
