I tried a calculator with 15 ft (that is the approx. one way, and I didn't read whether this table uses two way) of #8 cu with 14 v and 25 amps and it came out at 0.47v drop. Pos path is a mix of wire gauges and wires and frame on neg path so I picked #8 out of my hat.

I was seeing 14.06 vs 13.5 once things settled, so that seems reasonable? at around 1/2 volt?
Harold Barre's book from 2002 says a solenoid will have about 0.2v across it. I had 14.32 vs 14.16 for 0.16v drop so in ballpark.
I am thinking there is not a whole lot wrong with my MH's alternator charging as it is, but I would be interested in what another similar MH gets for comparison before I get too happy.
