The circuit has been checked and appears to be working as designed.
At least you know what to expect. I would not change a thing unless your needs change.
I would be mounting 100 to 300+ watts solar on the roof before any alternator charging upgrades.
Yes. I have rigged the MH with whatever will fit from the 5er and TC using lessons learned over the years with those. I have two separate sets of house batts. Two 100AH AGMs inside with the big inverter which does all the 120v things and nothing else. It has a converter and a solar set (255w panel) flat on the roof just for it.
The other house bank is four Flooded batts to do all the usual 12v things. It has its own converter and solar set (three 100w panels in parallel) on the roof, plus that bank gets any alternator charging that happens.
(That frees the inverter from being tied to the regular house batts, allowing them to be drawn down with no threat of getting too low and setting off the 11 volt inverter alarm)
I have not learned yet whether I will need to take the Honda 3000 along, but I have a way to do it if necessary (but awkward). I am thinking that little bit of alternator charging if used cleverly will be just enough to tip the balance so we won't need the gen.
One thing that helps is this Class C is easy to heat compared with the 5er barn, so not so much furnace AH draw. The MH even has some heater vents in the RV part that get heat from the engine same as the cab does. It is all very different from the 5er. Still learning how to play it.
