20 amps should be plenty. The 20 amp breaker in the house probably feeds several other outlets, make sure the AC is the only load on that breaker. Also make sure no other drains are on in the RV. The converter can draw considerable current if charging a discharged battery, depending on the converter. Another high drain may be the electric water heater.
