I don't know, though the credits on that article are clearly impressive some of the science in the article had an "Aroma" about it.
You might want to check the publication date. I did not,, see if it's is 4.1.year.
I say that because Silver is antibiotic for many bacteria. (not all though) this is why it is used in burn treatment.. Cause it kills the nasties. (but not the patient) most antibiotics strong enough to kill the nasties (Which are responsible for much of the scaring and disfigurement and death in the case of burn patients) also kill the patient, not so Silver. (Been there, had the treatment).
