It also takes less time for it to reach absorption voltage with the same amperage applied from the same AH from full, and thus reaches absorption voltage at an even lower state of charge, than with less cycles accumulated.
These are repeatable observations.
I've little doubt you will notice the same with your AGMS as they age.
Yes, it should reach Vabs at a lower SOC with a higher charging rate. Charging rate is charging amps/AH capacity of bank. Same amps on a smaller battery in AH is a higher rate so lower SOC to reach Vabs and less time to get there.
Interesting about the longer time in absorption though.
It does show here if you look at it that way (note tapering times)
