Good point about the SOC if lowered.
Yesterday when I pulled out my notes from about 4 1/4 years ago (When I talked with the Lifeline Tech to review what I had the Magnum set to. AGM1, Voltages, and SOC 100% to complete Absorb cycle.) I went ahead and changed it to complete Absorb cycle by Time set to 2 1/2 hours.
So even though I'm using the Equalizing Magnum setting, 4 hour runs, I have the Voltage adjusted to 14.4V. I did see 13A about 3-4 hours ago, but now back to 15A. Battery temp (Cautioning myself on this, because it's attached to the Negative of Battery 3 - so would not detect a heat problem on an adjacent battery. So Infrared Gun readings every few hours. All 12 cells are within 1.8F of each other, so far today. And within .5F of the Magnum Temp sensor on Battery 3.).
And yes, I've noted your comments about probably have used up the gas/juice on some or all of the batteries. If so, probably better to just go back to AGM1 setting and let it do maintenance and try to maintain the dropping battery capacity. However, if my continued undercharge condition has cause heavy sulfating, I have only completed two full 8 hour Equalizing cycles, with dropping the SOC down by 5% back now four-5 days ago. So that may not have been enough to shake things up(?). (Wishful thinking, but as MW pointed out - the L16's are a substantial battery, and no signs of gassing or valve distress - so perhaps it is just a sulfate build up?).
I did buy a "BatteryMinder 128CEC1: 12V 2/4/8 AMP Battery Charger-Maintainer-Desulfator" (Wish I'd known about Meanwell's before buying this:)!), to try and shake up the CAT 8D Maintenance Free Chassis Battery I had then. Back in December I tried this, but ended up getting a Lifeline 8D for Chassis duty before our trip.
So I could add that to the bank of L16's, and go back to AGM1 mode of the Magnum settings (Well, Custom, due to the 13.4 Float change in Feb, 2017.)
Do any of you care to comment on the BatteryMinder 128CEC1: 12V 2/4/8 AMP Battery Charger-Maintainer-Desulfator?
-Good for maintenance charge only?
-The magic of the Desulfator logic is going to revolutionize mankind?
-Always trust the Star ratings of Amazon?
-On the Internet, so it must work?
-Snake oil. Should have spent your money on a Meanwell!!!
First hike complete, and off to Home Depot and Costco run this afternoon. Then to the blood bank to try and replenish our wine funds which will have been badly dented after a trip to Costco!!
