NO, a Honda eu2000i will NOT support 95 dc amps of charging.
You may be very hard pressed to find a vec1093. If you do, grab it!
That 55a wfco will be a relatively high C/3 rate... good with those two 80Ah agm's in parallel, in one sense, but will drop out of 14.4v bulk, and go into 13.6v abs mode fairly early on; well before 80% soc. That will add to your gen run times considerably. Yes, you'll be able to do a 50-75% soc in about 45 minutes, provided voltage doesn't drop off sooner, but once voltage does drop, you'll be looking at about 25 amps tapering, instead of 55. A charger that remains at 14.4v or higher is definitely needed. A 40a vector or adjustable psu would work very well, in this case.
They actually aren't AGM's, just normal wet cell marine batteries. I did see a vec1093 on Amazon, but I'd consider any good battery charger that meets my needs. I've just had that one in my mind for a while because so many here like them.
So it sounds like the WFCO may initially pump more amps in (because it is 55 vs. 40), but then as it drops to abs, the vec1093 would be better. Is that true?
I guess what I'm really looking for would be a portable battery charger, under 2000w (limited by the Honda) that is capable of pushing as many amps as is safely possible into the 2 batteries in the shortest time possible. Maybe that's the vec1093, maybe it's some other charger I don't know about...
