Ok, so I know I said before that I wasn't interested in ripping any brand new components out of my new TT. However considering that it's pretty unanimous that the WFCO is junk, I may reconsider.
Found this:
http://www.progressivedyn.com/pd4600_converter_replacement.htmlIt's only a bit over $200 on Amazon for the 55amp version and it's a drop in replacement for the WFCO, just replacing the converter, not the entire panel. Saves me from needing to completely rewire the whole thing.
For comparison, the Vec1093 I saw on Amazon was $150 plus shipping. So for a mere $50 more I can get a quality hard wired converter, no messing around with hooking up a portable battery charger, etc. Just fire up the eu2000, plug the shore power cable in and go back to enjoying camping.
I'm still interested in the Megawatt, but if it can't equalize, then I'm looking at buying something else to perform that task. I'd probably rather just go with the Progressive and be done.
Other thoughts... I mentioned earlier that we probably dry camp only 20-25% of the time, so I don't want to spend a ton on the best batteries, etc. Well the converter is used 100% of the time, so I'm less bothered about buying a really good converter, ie. it's not just a dry camping component.
