Very true. For a city bus, regenerative braking can really have a big positive impact on range and since it never gets above 40-45mph, wind resistance isn't a big issue.
For compact BEV cars, a ton of effort is put into aerodynamics along with a massive battery bank relative to the overall size of the car.
Your average brick shaped RV has horrible aerodynamics. You are looking at 40-50kw continuous output to maintain freeway speeds. With 108kw battery bank, that's more like 130-150miles at 60-70mph.
