Chilly) It's more time and trouble to remove it.
Jrnym) The 10W panel is wired in parallel to the batteries, so no impact on the MPP function of an mppt controller. But as I found out, it does have enough oomph to elevate the float voltage on bright, sunny days in storage (low loads).
