Another Low Cost MPPT Deal or Not?

Possible alternative to the Eco-Worthy (at $102,) this is $30 more, but also with free shipping, but has the remote (short wire though--maybe you can get longer wire from phone or whatever?) Pretty sure I have seen Tracers at closer to $200?

Still 20a but wow 150v input limit. ( The Eco is kind of limited at its 42v) So this one could be used with a string of 12v panels in series whereas the Eco can't be.

Seems like a good deal, but is there any catch?

(Sorry, I know it isn't a Rogue, but might get the job done for some folks--if its any good that is )

ok, I'll keep an eye on it for the next couple days and if I can get it for close to that current bid I'll be the guine pig this time. Got 265 watts of 12 volt panels I can test it with right at its stated limit.
    Sweet! Keep us posted!

  • EP Solar makes the PWM LandStar I tried out and liked very much, so I would not be nervous about their MPPT Tracer based on that. But I have no other knowledge about that controller. What caught my eye was that 150v input.

I'd be the guinea pig on this one at this price, if I didn't already have the Eco-W

If this is the one I saw opened up once, it did have the coil at least. I've been watching them since I am going to set up the extra panel. Who knows what will be around when the spring comes. Hopefully someone else will take lead on this one since I tested the Eco W. lol
