The extension cord may not be ideal when burying it in the build. Depending on the box style you may be able to use romex clamps.
In a house the romex is also stapled to a wall stud within X inches of the box by code. In a mobile application you could fasten with this.
As you install the wire leave enough extra at each box so that if you need to work on it later you have some slack.
