As others have said the "one way gate" on the plastic boxes is fine for securing the wire. One tip from home wiring is the wire should be attached to something solid outside of the box within less than 6" of the box. A couple of inches of slack between there and the box is a good idea.
The better quality duplex outlets have, what I call, a "side clamp". The screw tightens down on a small piece of metal. The bared wire goes behind this. (Leviton Commercial grade over Residential grade.)
Marine wire is an excellent suggestion. A bit pricey and maybe not necessary for "interior" applications. If you are doing any kind of exterior wiring, marine wiring is an ABSOLUTE MUST ! Each individual copper strand is coated in solder, making the wire almost impervious to corrosion ! If you are using insulation crimp connectors, spend the extra money and get the kind that have heat shrink insulation. The other style are a waste of money.
