Honestly I would like to see some type of grading "household" oil like the auto industry uses. Last 5 years or so, lots of new type oil available. When I pick an oil for my use I keep in mind what I want the oil to do. The spray oils with ptfe's I like because it doesn't collect dust as bad as a regular liquid type oil. I think a test such as..."Evaluating Lubricity of Diesel Fuels by the High-Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR)" would be a good way to rate a oil. Guess we have come a long way since horse and buggy days with wagon wheels lube'd with animal fat.
