I love my floorplan, and the full wall 25' slide with gas and water sewer for the kitchen in it, makes it possible, but I have had to replace the front slide motor already due to a a slight water intrusion dripping on it locking up the brake.
The slide seems made well hard to tell long term, its just sitting on rollers, the Powergear slide mechanism is simple but not very robust, it worries me the most. Would be so simple to make these things nearly bulletproof, just use metal instead of plastic for pinion housing...
Do like the idea of a solid no slide RV, make it like a Boston Whaler upside down, lots of insulation, would last forever, no seams. But man those slides sure do make for some nice floorplans, nobody wants to give them up.
