Lets try this another way, does having a satellite receiver help retrieve local over the air channels on your regular antenna when your out of your "home" area"
(Dish states 150 miles from home you lose your local channels and can no longer switch your are )
While your locals do disappear when you move, you can call Dish (or better use Dish Chat) and have them change your service address (do not change you billing address) to the new location. You will get Denver locals after a few minutes. - wa8yxmExplorer IIICheking but alas I'm not 100% with the app I'm using.
Antenna Point dot com found ZERO transmitters within sixty miles.. So I'd say your OTA odds are slim. - HeisenbergExplorerWe spent a week there last August and could not get local channels. Edited to say: On the Estes Park side.
- JiminDenverExplorer IIGetting local OTA channels is iffy at best. We were near that area in the Red Feathers area and didn't get a single channel. After 3 years of trying to get reception we finally gave up and got a dish tailgater. They allow you to change your location and get the local channels. We also only have to pay for service while we use it and can shut it off in the off season.
- Community AlumniSince RMNP is on one side of the mountain range and Grand Lake the other side I don't believe you can pick up their local channels. However, there are local channels out of Loveland which you may be able to pickup with the over-the air antenna.
I don't believe a satellite receiver works with a satellite dish. - southtexasExplorerLets try this another way, does having a satellite receiver help retrieve local over the air channels on your regular antenna when your out of your "home" area"
