Like a terminally ill patient the only thing that makes sense is to make them as comfortable as possible until the curtain drops. I have looked inside a few Harbor fright inverters and sutured them back up, fast.
Naio a 120mm .15 amp computer muffin fan playing onto the left side of the inverter is probably the most cost effective thing you can do. Go to eBay. Search 120 MM 12 VOLT MUFFIN FAN. Choose one closest to .15 amps. Wire it from the inverter terminals with a switch. GOOP and velcro the fan upright about one inch from the inverter. And do something to lift the inverter up another quarter inch off the solid floor. No rugs!
