Power Converters and INVERTERS both need ventilation to NOT overheat. Overheating will destroy an Inverter. Just being in a large cabinet is not enough. You need to have flow thru air to allow fresh air to flow in and hot air to flow out. If you need some type of fan to help that is better. I use 120 volt cooling fans to ventilate an Inverter Cabinet. The reason I use 120 fans is because, I connect the 120 fan to the output side of the Inverter. That means only when the Inverter is ON, you need that fan running. When the Inverter is OFF the fan does not run. Doug
