Any reason not to drill holes to ventilate inverter?

My cheap-azz HF inverter overheats easily when it's out in the open air and nights are freezing. In new van build, I plan to have an actual electrical cabinet. The inverter is going to freak out...

I just purchased the cheapest ball bearing 120vac 120mm fan I could find. Nineteen dollars. Same CFM 12 volt fan four dollars. Many AC fans love to clear throat and go: "Mi Mi Mi Mi" on modified sine wave. They whine and hum. School of hard hummmmmmm... I mean "knocks"
New AC fan is for Gigawatt box which was courtesy of Pianotuna. AC fans on a MSW inverter have a chance of humming mosquitoes at bay. Gotta look at the bright side.
