Any reason not to drill holes to ventilate inverter?

My cheap-azz HF inverter overheats easily when it's out in the open air and nights are freezing. In new van build, I plan to have an actual electrical cabinet. The inverter is going to freak out...

of vendors has Harbor Fright got their imverters from? I have a rule regarding these chew & spit inverters. Kiss-off the first few hundred watts. They are reserved for eating the inverter itself. An efficiency factor in the low eighties tell the w h o l e story. Yeah I did the PF corrected tests. 1Kw in 810 watts, out. Ain't it a hoot?
