Any tv antenna recommendations?

I've hated our omnidiCRAPtional antenna since we've had this trailer. Our old trailer had a crank and turn which picked up pretty good, but the ceiling would be a little high for that since this is a 5ver. Our current antenna won't pick up anything where we primarily camp. We use Directv, but it would also be nice to pick local channels up on the bedroom tv and sometimes we can't get a spot where Directv picks up. I don't want to go to the expense for something that MIGHT work. Anybody have first hand examples of improvement with change and if so, how much/what distance? BTW, I've tried a couple of antenna amplifiers and several indoor antennas as well.
  • Crank up winegard works just fine and unlikely to get torn off
  • Winegard does make a motor driven "crank up" MA-1000W

It can be hard to come by on the consumer market as Winegard tries to sell it only to shops that install it.
  • IMO the batwing sensar pro is the best thing i know about

what might be second, is the windgard 'Razar automatic"
it looks like a Sat dome carry out, but its an auto tuning/seeking broadcast TV antenna, that gets mounted on the roof

just push a button and let it find the best directional position
then do the channel search on the TV
    $300 something, plus install costs

It doesn't work nearly as well as the Jack Ant. I installed on our last RV.
Fixed, not even crank up for more height, huh? At least I could get a little something with my current omni one before things went all digital.

Yeah, but it's a crank up, although I could stand on a stool to work it. Do you rotate it for better reception as well> Now would be the time for me to make a change since I'm getting a new roof installed. Maybe they will cut me a deal since the roof costs so much.
