Anyone Tried Norcold Door Hinge Reinforcement Kit?
We have a 4-door Norcold refrigerator in our MH, model 1211MWPMT. The LH lower door was sagging so I got on floor and discovered that the socket on the bottom of the door that sits on the hinge pin has pushed up into the door and the trim is cracked. Suspect that I may lean on the door when looking into the refrig for a snack!
I called Norcold for a replacement part. Bad news is they don't sell this as a piece part, you have to buy the whole door. Good news is they offer a Hinge Reinforcement Kit, P/N 634166. This is not listed on their website but RV parts suppliers have them. Link to part below, ~$30 plus shipping. From link kit appears to include a pair, assume one bracket for each lower door.
Has anyone bought and used these? Are they worthwhile or a waste of time? Not sure if the kit will work given that the trim piece on the bottom of my door is already broken/cracked. As always I appreciate anyone's comments, experience - thank you....
