Asking for info on in-motion TV antenna purchase

we have Directv and our tech said that our TracStar will no longer work in about a year. He has one more software patch that will work in the meantime.

Stay up to date on what going on. My favorite RV tech just told me that many of the existing satellite antennas are about to become obsolete as dish is changing something and the antennas will no longer workwith dish tv. I didn't pay too much attention as we have directv and it's not effected.

He is the RV satellite "guru" and has different options both in-motion and stationary. We are headed his way because our TracStar only has one more software update before it's obsolete. We may just get a new antenna rather than updating the software. Please post what you decide.
