Not to mention that apps USE data daily.
Whether you are using them or not. Just sitting on your phone they are accessing data. When you download them you are clicking permission for them to do so in the backround.
I found this out WAAY back in the days when you could buy an iPhone/ATT and NOT buy the data package. And pay for data as you use it. I.E. per text, emails etc. AND got a paper detailed bill.
I downloaded a bunch of apps. Did not use any data, did not send or receive texts.......and got a bill for $300.00 the first month and the bill was 8 pages long!! That's how we found out what was using data much to the ATT's rep surprise.:R
The charges were for all the apps 'accessing' data. And not all apps allow you to disable them if they are even in the settings to disable.
So if you have a lot of apps on your phone they are eating your data and because no one no longer gets detailed bills you'll never know just how much data is being eaten up by your apps. And they activate when roaming even if you are not using the phone during roaming.
