Attwood Furnace Acting Strange

Question

The other night I noticed my furnace was running for about 5 minutes and shutting off for about 1 minute to a minute and a half.

It doesn't seem to get up to full heat like it used to, I know that because when I got up to use it in the night the metal vent in toilet room didn't dang near burn my foot.

The furnace does click like it wants shut off sometimes.
I also noticed none of the vents blow hardly at all besides the toilet room vent and the vent in the wall right next to the furnace unit.

Sometimes the thermostat buzzes or clicks like it is shorting out along the temp knob track.
Not sure what to do here, don't trust it to run while sleeping, but don't want to spend the night in a 55° TT again.

Not by any mean knowledgable about this stuff, only what I learn from DH, but if there is no air blowing is it possible you have a blockage or one of the flexible heat vents has a kink.  That would make it constantly overheat and keep shutting down.  I don't think I would want to run it at all until the problem is fixed.  I would be afraid of a fire.

Call a mobile repair person and have them check it out and repair as necessary.

You may need to look to LEVELING as your answer.

Thermostats usually use a Mercury switch as their off-on control. If the unit does not have the jacks down, and rocks due to movement, or changing weight distribution, is can ( and will ) cause the mercury switch to react , kind of like a Teeder-Todder.

You may also wish to pull the plastic cover off the thermostat, and take an Exacto Knife , or similar item, and scrape any / all copper contacts you can find.

These tend to corrode and OXIDIZE , especially in salt-air environments, and will have intermittent reactions.

Thanks all for the input.  I did get a repairman out here, I described all the symptoms to him.  He thinks it is the thermostat, and I am beginning to think it is a corroded contacts problem, as I have messed with the temp slide a bit and it isn't doing it anymore.  There is some visual corrosion on the metal cover that surrounds the slide contacts.  Jerk salesman that sold us the RV keeps the windows open a lot of the time when it's hot out.
