Atwood furnace

Hi everyone. I'm having a bit of a problem with my furnace and am hoping that all of you can help. As you can see by my info, I have a 2011 Jayco 256RKS and it has an Atwood furnace. I can't find the model number on it but my guess is that my solution would be the same for most of these. Last night I woke up to hear the furnace blowing but all it was blowing out was cold air. It tried 3 or 4 different times to start but nothing. I went to the Thermostat and turned it off and went back to bed. When I woke up this morning I tried to turn it on (after switching gas tanks) and even the blower wouldn't come on. My thermostat has the AC on it also so I tried just the fan, it wouldn't come on either. I had a few appointments I had to get to so when I came back, I went in, went to the thermostat and turned on the furnace and the blower came on but I am not hearing and attempts at ignition (I would think I should). I tried this a few different times and now I cannot turn on the fan at the thermostat again. I have gas flow to the stove as well as the hot water heater. When I pull off the cover that gives me access to the furnace, I can see a circuit board and some of the duct work and the serial number but there are no lights which could indicate the fault (according to the manual) The serial number is 2LD327070 if that helps.

When you accessed the furnace, was this from the INSIDE of the RV inside a cabinet? There is NO door on the outside wall where the furnace exhaust vent is? If so, there is NOTHING you can do without pulling the furnace out of the RV for Bench testing and fixing. This model furnace does not have access for anything while installed. ALL testing and repairs have to be done on the work bench. Doug

That is correct Doug, the only access is on the inside.

  • Ours did that once and the ignitor had moved just a bit from road vibration an wasn't lined up so it would light the propane. The safety feature then shut off the propane. We accessed this from the outside compartment.

Are you connected to AC Power or just running off battery?

Air Conditioner Fan only runs on AC Power.

Converter uses AC power to make DC power to recharge battery

Battery alone is good for 1 night of furnace use.....then DC voltage is too low to function

    What is battery voltage?

    I am on AC power

thanks, looking forward to your reply
