The wh has a fixed t-stat set to 130 (never heard that 120 was a legal limit as I don’t think it is). If you have a shut off valve on the shower head that completely turns off the flow you may want to change it to one that still leaves a trickle flowing. I remember reading somewhere that the reasons for the 130 degrees had to do with killing bacteria and allowing the little six gallon water heaters to supply enough hw especially on cold nights.
