Atwood MPD 93756 water heater issues

Hello, my water heater just went caput. It won't heat at all, electrical or gas. Ironically one my of duct covers to my heater came off while traveling and I had to take off the rear bench to just to get to it. After I fixed that issue we noticed the water heater wouldn't heat at all. Not 100 percent sure if the water heater was broken before or after? I know the 2 Amp fuse is still good, but I'm hoping someone one might be able to give me some sort of check list?

  • So I've got a 2014 6aa 10 MPD 93756 that just quit. My instruction sheet has no trouble shooting suggestions. Been on electric and since it quit, the gas burner won't work either. Where would be the first place to look? The heating element?
  • You just joined. Always list Year/Make/Model of RV and the brand and appliance model number, to get quick accurate help. Doug
  • What year is your RV?

In Water Heater Outside panel is a data plate with MODEL Number (ie: GC6a-3E or GC10A-8E etc)

'3E' or '9E' (or lower version numbers) mean electric & propane are independent systems (nothing is common)-separate 120V AC and 12V DC controls

'4E' or '10E'.......use SAME 12V DC controls to operate the 120V AC for electric and the 12V DC for propane

Year/Version numbers make big differences in what problems can be
