My Atwood propane detector Series 2001 died. The replacement model 36270/31014 is about 1/2" smaller (meaning the existing hole in the wall is a little large). I'm sure others have faced this proble...

yeah, I thought about a 2 gang electrical blank plate but not sure how for flush mount I could cut the rectangular mounting hole in it without breaking it. Maybe my Dremel tool will work. If the excessive space is only at the bottom of the new bracket that will not be an issue.
