Atwood Water Heater Fuse Issue

My Atwood G6A-8E water heater is blowing the 2A fuse. I have looke over all of the wires and connections and they all seem to be in good condition. I have even unplugged the shoreline and tried to run on 12vt DC only, but the fuse blew as soon as the WH was turned on. I suspect it is the ECO, but not sure if there is a way to test this theory. I know I'm looking for a short of some kind, but are there any suggestions to help me narrow it down?
  • You will need to run a jumper wire when you disconnect the eco switch or the w/heater wont do anything.
  • The last (within 60 days) Atwood fuse I had in that blew was a defective Circuit board. Do Chris's test, If it still blows, odds are the Circuit Board is bad. Doug
  • Disconnect the eco. If the fuse doesn't blow, you know it's the eco or valve.
