Well a Volt meter will tell you the tstat/ECO is the problem. IF you have 12 volts thru the tstat to the thermal cutoff and to the board AFTER the unit shuts down then I would suspect the flame sensor spark plug, NOT the control board. Are you positive the hot water tank is full of water? Your symptoms are exactly what happens with dry fire of a empty of 1/2 full tank. Pop the pop off valve to verify water is full in tank. Doug
