OK......just a few questions to clarify
Do you have only one set of t-stats?
None on backside of tank for electric element?
Atwood changed the control circuits.......went from separate set of t-stats to one set of t-stats.
Separate set of t-stats had electric on backside with element and gas in outside compartment.
Combo set of t-stats just in outside compartment.
When they changed they also changed how the electric element got 110V power.
Before the change 110V AC went directly to/thru separate t-stats to element.
After change...12V DC from switch goes to relay that controls AC to element
Normal t-stat Opens at 140*F.........Closes at 110*F
Need power to and thru t-stat for electric and/or gas to heat
