atwood water heater

my atwood water heater keeps blowing the ECO & Thermostat replace 5 times this year replace board 2 years ago rv is 2003 looks like there was a little water on out side of tank replace thermostat last week blowed out to day water keeps heating to over ride kicks in an shut down .
  • While the OP's punctuation sucks, and shows real lazieness, it is still easily readable, or much better than some of the text I see here.

As far as the heater problem, I can see a voltage......or even a hi amperage problem,......like the gas valve drawing too much current ??

ECO is Emergency Cut Out (A high temp thermostat T-Stat is the operational (120 degree) Thermostat

Make sure the TPR (Temperature Pressure Relief) Vlave is not dripping on them, if it is, plumb the drip away from them.
  • When replacing the set of t-stats the tank contact area needs to be clean AND the t-stats need to be tight against tank.

Now if above has been done and t-stats are failing......then excessive AC ripple could be the problem.
AC ripple is result of converting AC to DC...how much depends on diodes/capacitors.

To measure....test DC supply voltage at water heater. Then swap meter from DC to AC and measure......anything more than 1 volt AC could be why you are going thru t-stats.
That means converter is not filtering the AC ripple out.
