Great discussion here - as the owner of a small RV park with mostly permanent residents I've learned many lessons the hard way... I currently have 18 sites, all 50/30/20 outlets served by two 200 amp feeders. after the past two months with consistent high temps I heard complaints from two tenants regarding low voltage - they are the only ones with EMS! Actually they were seeing 135 volts on one leg and 105 on the other!
After, running around with my trusty voltmeter I suspected the neutral was bad from the power utility- a phone call later a utility engineer verified my findings - the squirrels apparently like to sharpen their teeth on the bare aluminum neutral conductor overhead! The power utility had a crew out and the line replaced within 6 hrs.
Even so I decided to add a third feeder and drop the number of units to 6 per feeder. I sleep better
Oh, I don't care if my tenants use autoformers - each lot is metered and I charge for all electricity used.
