Awning Dead- Anyone know what this is (photo)

FYI- If your Dometic power awning is dead and you have power at the switch but not at the motor, it is likely that this black awning controller/relay is bad. Not all Dometic awnings have this style relay. Some do/some don't. This relay reverses the polarity to the awning motor. The relay was located in the wall behind the main wall control panel.
I had CW replace it and the awning works ok now.

I have worked/installed and repaired thousands of awnings over my life and I have NEVER seen such a device. The usual is to install the wall switch that reverses the Polarity. Is you wall switch a momentary push button(you do NOT have to hold it to extend or retract?). Or is it only push one way and that part you showed reverses the polarity as long as you hold the button? I will bet it is NOT supplied by the awning maker. What brand awning do you have? Doug

I know this is a dumb question, but what did the mfr tech support guy say?

Do you have a dual switch installation? Maybe a switch inside, then another in a compartment accessible from the outside?

It looks like a small circuit board wrapped in heat shrink. There may be a signal wire input that turns on a transistor or mosfet.

On edit: It looks like there may be 4 wires, black, yellow, red and green. Is that so?

Dometic awning but not a Dometic controller. I looked at Dometic website and owners manual. No reference to this part.
