Back-powering 110V system while travelling..
I know that I can, and do, use my home generator by plugging the two outlets from the genny into house outlets that are powered by different busbars in the breaker box, (after shutting off the master)...

Unless you have a lockout device or transfer switch the home system is illegal due to the safety hazard regardless of the fact you turn off the main. Contact your city, the utility or a licensed electrician and they will all repeat the same warnings. The double male cord is also an illegal safety hazard. You will not get any sympathy on this issue here on RV.net
Hmm... The chap helping me sort this out said it was perfectly safe... I suppose it's time to splurge for the whole house automatic system they keep advertizing on the radio...
