I know that I can, and do, use my home generator by plugging the two outlets from the genny into house outlets that are powered by different busbars in the breaker box, (after shutting off the master), but I'm unsure if I can do this in the TT.
With the TT you simply plug the TT's power cord in via the proper adapter to the generator and power it normally
And never, ever, NEVER, do as you suggest above, that is very very dangerous. I mean what happens if you forget to flip the master switch, or if it fails.
ALWAYS use a proper INLET (never use an outlet as an INLET) and transfer switch.. ONE Such switch consists of two sets of main breakers with an interlock device so you must shut one off, then slide a locking bar, and then you can turn the other on.. At the very least do it this way.
But bring power to an INLET, not an outlet on the house.. Lowes, home Depot et-al, sell very nice Inlets Not at all expensive.
