Durn tootin' this ad makes me feel old. I worked on many a generator attached to such as engine. The last one was at Tioga Lodge and had 37,000 hours on it.

You should also remember that in those day they were for specialized use on farms etc - nowadays we all have a generator or 2 stuck in the shed/garage/rv.
It's called progress - nothing we can do about it so just sit back and enjoy the ride!
