Balance wheels on a fifth wheel

A balanced tire saves on tie-rods, pins, ball-joints every part of the suspension and steering. And yes the tires last longer..

Equal or similar is the way to go on all tires.. I have a auto service center.. It balances the tire every time it turns.. Get a little snow or mud in it, it gets balanced as it turns. Throw the snow or mud out it auto rebalances it immediately. As the tire wears on one side or the other it's rebalances it. Works on all tires,, cars trucks rv motorcycles, with or without tpms sensors. Just get the right amount for the tire sizes. I have not seen any damage to tpms sensors from it as of yet. The bad,,, you must make sure u use dry air when filling tires. I have a dryer in my air lines. Dryers can be bought and put in any air line and should be anyway. Ed

Tires should be balanced for longest life. Otherwise they may be bouncing down the road causing wear on everything from the tires to the bearings, leaf springs and bushings. Just because you cant feel it doesn't mean it isn't happening.
The reason they don't do it at the factory is because it would cost money and there's no ROI.

Well, the last set of tires I bought were purchased at a truck place and the wheels were balanced there, with weights. Had no issues with them. Still trying to get a straight answer from camping world on the sand thing. If they did that I will probably go with it, not sure what would happen if you tried to balance tires with weights and they had sand in them. If no sand then I will get them balanced with weights. My 5vr came from factory with tires balanced.

Also came with shocks.

Replacement set of tires.........got balanced at time of install at regular tire shop.

Items inside 5vr don't bounce around, stay put.

If it spins I balance.

No good reason to balance the trailer tires AFAIK. Also as noted above, they need an adapter for their balancing machine so the centre is in the middle.

It is different for cars, so they need the adapter. What are the chances the tire place you go to has even heard of needing an adapter for that? :(

It is very common for trailer tires to not be balanced ... every camper I've ever looked at has been shipped from the factory without the tires balanced. If you do balance your trailer tires, most trailers center the rim on the lugs, not on the hub, it is important the tire dealer balances off the lugs in this case ... if they balance off the hub you don't accomplish much (or make the balance worse) as you will have balanced on a different center than the wheel runs on when installed on the trailer ... the dealer needs to use a pin plate adapter to balance these.
