Ball mounts Is it legal to have one when not towing?

Will say I am physically unable to remove the drawbar when we are unhooked on vacation. Nobody has said boo in over 100,000 miles (most of that with TT attached of course).

When stored I use a floor jack to remove the drawbar, using a nice wooden holder, and then slide it on to a shelf.
