Someone told me it was in VA, but I have not been able to find anything official that says so. I had a ball hitch on my van for several years, I had one on the explorer for a few year, untill I found the lost key and removed it a couple of months ago. I have only had one complant from someone that walked into it a walmart. I told her she was way to close to my truck if she hit it with her shin, perhaps she should hang up the phone and pay attention to where she was going. She walked off in a huff.
Like camperforlife said, out here in the sticks you will find more trucks with them then without. I do believe you can get a ticket for the ones that hang below causing your girl children to ask questions they shouldn't.
